It is probably one of the strongest medical diseases that society has to face at day after day. It is a tough battle, it is like a wild animal waiting for its chance to attack. Although there have been numerous medical developments in the past it is still a major issue that we are working on every day.
Sadly I had to deal with it when my dad was diagnosed with a lung tumour. Thanks to Medicine, his strength and willpower, he was able to live for a further two years whilst undergoing chemotherapy while he was becoming weaker and weaker every day.
After a long fight, finally his weakness resulted in him catching a pneumonia which had devastating results to his lungs and he finally lost the battle for his life.
It is awesome to see the strength and courage of person who fight the disease.
That’s the reason why I think we can do more, not better but just more to help with research to bring us closer to a cure.
For all these reasons, I will run the Dublin Marathon (30 Oct 2016) and I open this charity web page trying to help and raise funds in favour to the “St. James Hospital” on their Target Lung Cancer Campaign.
Together we go further.
Thank you everyone.
